Beautiful Jasmine Cottage, lovingly rebuilt by craftsman in the traditional Charentaise style, with honey coloured stone walls, half a metre thick. In the centre of the Cognac region in the wine producing village of Louzignac. With no deeds or archives for reference, it is thought that the cottage dates back four hundred years. Inside the thick stone garden walls there is parking for up to three cars at the front, and a full width terrace, which faces south east and catches the sun till late afternoon. The rear garden, which is totally private and secluded, has mature trees for shade, a covered eating out area, and the pool which is for the sole use of Jasmine cottage.
The house can sleep eight people in four bedrooms, all with room fans, and has a bathroom on both levels. There is a log fire in the large living room.
The kitchen is fully equipped, with plenty of cupboards for you to store your things. there is a full sized gas cooker, washing machine, f/freezer, microwave, electric kettle, coffee maker, toaster, iron and ironing board, and a large farmhouse table large enough for a crowd.

Welcome to Maison Bois Fleurie, a beautiful early 19 th century house with its own chapel. At one time this 2 hectare site was used as a convent. Now fully restored and refurbished, the house is an idyllic French retreat nestled away form the hustle and bustle of modern life in the rural village of Souvigne.

We offer Chambre d'Hote (Bed & Breakfast) and 2 self catering cottages, Fleurie and Studio. There is also a 5×10 metre swimming pool available for all our guests.

Surrounded by some of France's most picturesque scenery with a wealth of interesting things to see and do for all ages. Maison Bois Fleurie makes for an enchanting base from which to explore this region of France. For a long break or if you are just stopping off on your journey you'll find a warm reception and a cosy room to relax and recharge.

Swimming Pool

Surrounded by a large sun terrace with sunbeds, cushions and parasols. Enter by Grecian steps our 5×10 metre pool, which is situated to receive sunshine from dawn till dusk. The pool has a platform of 1.2 metre depth and then slopes from all directions to give a maximum depth of 1.85 metre, thus catering for all requirements. The pool is alarmed to conform to French safety standards.

Dinner

The evening commences with an aperitif using local specialities, served with homemade canapés. The meal consists of 4 courses, using organically home-grown and fresh produce, accompanied by unlimited quantities of local wine and finishing with coffee. Table settings of bone china and linen napkins.

We can cater for any dietary needs and are happy to discuss these with you beforehand.

If you wish for an evening out, why not put the children to bed and dine next door with us, knowing that your children are safe and within hearing distance

set in its own grounds, the owners live ten minutes drive away should you need any assistance. a welcome pack will be awaiting you on arrival.

La Vesvre is located just outside Epinac, halfway between Beaune, the wine capital of Burgundy and Autun, the roman capital of Gaulle.

Epinac is well served with local shops and bars, markets are held on Wednesday and Sunday mornings. I can personally recommend lunch at the bar de la place where your host Aline and John-Jaques offer home cooked food served with a friendly welcome.

Between La Vesvre and Epinac is the camping du pont vert, about ten minutes walk from the house, where you can spend an evening having a bite to eat or enjoy a glass of wine in this riverside location. Bicycle hire and Fishing is also available here.

Also worth a visit is the nearby Chateau de Sully.

Ten minutes drive from the house is the charming market town of Nolay, many activities take place here throughtout the summer.
In the heart of the Cozanne valley, the town of Nolay makes the transition between two different styles of the burgundian landscape: forests and prairies to the north and west ; hillside vineyards facing the slopes of Beaune to the east, and the Chalonnaise hills to the south.

A small mediaeval market town, Nolay, with its old neighbourhoods, a fourteenth century Central Market, wooden framed houses, Lazare Carnot's birth house and museum of local history is a town worth exploring.

Autun is twenty minutes away, with it’s Roman amphitheatre, shops, bars, good restaurants and large market. There is an indoor/outdoor swimming pool and many leisure facilities.

Beaune is thirty minutes drive away, through famous wine villages Monthelie, Meursault, Volnay, and Pommard. Beaune, world famous for it’s rich history in wine producing and L’hôtel dieu. Many good restaurants and bars.

For the children there are two good theme parks, the smaller of the two is only forty minutes away at Le Creusot, well suited to younger children. The much larger, Le Pal, is 80 minutes drive and a full day can easily be spent here on the rides and strolling through the large park looking at the various animals.

Another good place to visit is the Morvan natural park, where Lac des Settons provides a wonderful backdrop to spend a day canoeing, fishing, or walking by the lakeside.

Chaillac Chambre D’hotes is a friendly & informal little Bed & Breakfast
Situated in the centre of the lively market town.
Only 5 min’s from the medieval village of Saint Benoit du Sault that is officially recognised as one of the most beautiful villages in France

We are only 10 minutes from ether junction 20 or 21 of the A20 Autoroute, This makes us handy stopping of point for any one wishing to break up there journey from the north or south. And as we are only an hour from Limoges airport and about 7 hours from the port of Calais. Making us nicely situated for exploring the departments of Vienne, Haute Vienne, Limouisin and the Creuse.

Our Accommodation is made up of 2 double rooms with there own bathrooms and we also have the family suit that is made up of 2
Double rooms with one bathroom all together on there own floor.
All the rooms can take an extra bed if needed.
Being a Head Chef in my previous life providing you with an excellent dinner would never be a problem
