LA GUITOUNE – CAVAILLON, THE LUBERON VALLEY – NATIONAL PARK
A two bedroom house, sleeping 6 (sitting room with sofa-bed), a big (12×6) private pool, deep in the calm, peaceful, countryside, but just 5mn drive from the bustling market town of Cavaillon (the « melon » capital).
On one side, the National Park, the beautiful Luberon Valley, sprinkled with stunning provencal villages of Gordes, Ménerbes, Bonnieux, Roussillon (home of the ochre) and nearby Isle sur Sorgues, France’s antiques “capital”.
On the other side, the charms of the Vaucluse, with the fascinating towns of Nîmes and Arles, both with their magnificent roman arenas, the Camargue (its flamingos), Avignon (the Palais des Papes), and the astonishing acoustics of Orange’s outdoor roman auditorium.

Cottages In Provence
Reference 6700031 Site Sleeps 4 Over 2 Properties
Close to the lively centre of the pretty Provençal village of Saint Didier, facing vineyards and open countryside rising towards the plateau of Vaucluse, we offer two quite independent cottages, L’Amandier and La Courette, for holiday lets throughout the year.
Saint Didier is particularly well situated to satisfy a wide range of interests. The local scenery is fascinating, a tapestry of provençal villages set amongst vineyards, orchards, wild hills, gorges and high mountains, such as Mont Ventoux and the Dentelles de Montmirail. Yet not half an hour away are the cultural cities of Avignon and Orange. Well within a day’s outing are the the Luberon, the Mediterranean, Marseille, Arles, Nimes, Aix-en-Provence, St Rémy-de-Provence, Les Baux, the Ardèche, the famous vineyards of the Cotes du Rhone, and much more. It is an area that attracts ramblers, wine lovers, artists, car tourists, culture-vultures, painters, cyclists, winter skiiers, golfers, market browsers, and those who just simply like to relax in a warm and beautiful environment. See our Activities page for a lot more information.
Accommodation
The cottages are accessed by separate gated entrances with secure parking. Shady terraces looks out onto a garden of flowers, shrubs and fruit trees (almonds, figs, cherries, apples, pears, plums). Enclosed by natural stone walls and trees, the private garden areas afford a relaxing refuge for guests.

Le Village
Reference 6700032 Property Sleeps 4
The small, freindly village is at the South foot of Mont Ventoux in an area full of vineyards, olive groves and fruit trees. It is excellent for walking and particularly cycling and there is a fresh water swimming lake with a sandy beach in a nearby village. It is close to the ‘Rhone Village’ wine area, 40 minutes from Avignon and Orange. Nimes and Marseille airports 80 minutes away. Flassan has a shop which satisfies most needs.
The 350 year old house (recently renovated) consists of a lounge, kitchen, two double bedrooms, large bathroom and a roof terrace with a beautiful view of the valley. Close by are lakes and gorges. Its ‘typically old provercal!’
